Watch the Footage

I believe I won't be alone when I say that it has become next to impossible to catch up on everything. Now that everyone is examining Hefner's blog, the output is so huge that I can't even be bothered to read them properly - I just skim through, and I'm not even sure I remember what I read afterwards. This gets even worse when I read some mind-screwing threads, like the metaverse model. Even maintaining the timeline, which I've considered my informal duty, is starting to be problematic.
So... How do you cope?
Expecting a reply from Sicon112, I'll say that I literally get sick from coffee.

I just go with the flow, whatever seems the most important is what I focus on.

I use my iPod touch. I've bookmarked all relevant pages and I check all of them every minute if I want as it's always in my pocket.

I have an insane short term memory retention rate. Means I can skim everything and remember all the stuff I just read for the next few minutes, long enough for me to rank importance and forget all that isn't.

I have trouble keeping up, myself, due to lacking the advantage of being on the net whenever I pull out my mobile. But I just keep up to date as best I can and check every chance I get.

This is why I preferred a megathread.

That's exactly what I do (except that I use a regular PC). Doesn't seem to help - tab explosion and stuff.

It's not really that useful. I mean, who the hell needs to remember 37 random digits for five minutes after hearing them?

That's marginally better than forgetting the time right after putting the watch back into your pocket. As you can clearly see, good memory has its applications here.

One downside of checking my iPod all the time is it rapes my battery hard. Like, charging it three times a day hard.

I don't cope.

For instance, I'm not working on figuring out the blog, therefore, I'm not following the developments. As soon as a general conclusion arises I'll just read that and work from there.

On the other hand, if I start working on a subject, like I was trying to help with the cypher, I'll just let it open and follow it post-by-post.

Short story is, I don't try to work out every nook and cranny of the events, just focus on the topics I'm active on and read the summaries of the other topics as they arise. ^^

Same as Pixelmage. It's obvious there is a lot going on here, and it's difficult if not impossible to follow all of it. Right now I'm looking at the Therapists blog the most, following the threads related to that, seeing what I can work out.

There are enough of us that we don't ALL have to follow everything. And for my part, thats why I like this better than the so called "megathread." I can actually separate the different strings instead of having to read through 50 new pages detailing every little thing.

I just try my best to read everything I can, in the shortest time. If I fail, I just skip stuff and ask someone.
