Work Division

Ok, since it seems hard to everyone to check EVERY thread, I think that we could "divide and conquer". It wouldn't be a rule, it would only just a suggestion of sorts. Being in one group doesn't exclude you from other. But if you can't catch up with some other group, you don't need to worry with. You only need to be in your group. If you guys agree just say what you could do and I will write here.
  1. Planning
    • Sicon112 (Section Boss)
  2. Analisys
    1. Video
      • Dryuna (Section Boss)
    2. Picture
      • Adell (Section Boss)
    3. Sound
These are just some suggestions from what I gathered while in the forums. If you disagree, please comment.
  • Sicon112 seems the best Xanatos between us.
  • Dryuna helps a LOT and if I'm not wrong, made the analysis in the Cerberus Video
  • IF I am not wrong, Adell solved some stuff in the start too (With the help of everyone). And if I can remember well, that includes the Cerberus' Pic (I am almost sure I am wrong, but anyway I need to start a discussion here)
NOTE: I am back. I made some edition up there and aside from the division I suggested, do you have any suggestion? Like, we could divide by POI, and not by type of work. Please comment.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm gonna get cracking on the specifics of the Pieter murder. I've give Poirot all the help I can afford him to have at the moment, and Holmes is out of touch. I'm going to have to set aside work on the psychiatrist stuff for now to deal with Moriarty, so you guys are on your own there.

That's kind of hard to decide on. For instance, Dryuna is so far the most well versed in the Echo Chamber history and meta-thinking, which is awesome for the planning part, and Adell seems to be the one closest to Poirot.

Attributing tasks to each member is too limiting. Everyone should be able to juggle what he can and try to avoid overloading themselves.

I'm a complete random myself. I kind of like doing a bit of everything, but I'm not a Wizard at anything, so, there might be a image problem I can help with, and then another image I don't know where to start! That way, I'll just keep skimming over everything and help wherever I can find something of use.

Also, we're not that many. Sure, no need for everyone to work on every case, but I guess we could work better if we manage to focus the Hivemind into a couple of sects of investigation at a time. For instance, the big thing right now is Holmes, so let's see how far we can take that and if that does not lead us to a next step, we retreat back to the planning table as a whole unit.

After all, we have a whooping "Total members 70"! How many are active enough to actually lead sects of investigation by themselves?

Actually, I think Dryu should join me under planning too. I need someone who knows Echo Chamber, since I don't. At all. And he seems to be the only person who can and is willing to do the mental gymnastics required of deep multi-level meta thought on the same level as I am. (He really helped refine my metaverse WMG into a real theory) And he is also the sound ninja and stuff.

Well, I'm going to go back and start searching for any kind of hints I can get as to what is going on by digging through Poirot and Holmes' blogs. Like I said before, I'd love to have Dryu working with me, so if he agrees it'd be great if he could go over some of that stuff as well. Anyone else who wants to join the Moriarty hunting team just say so.

Just, please, don't be the Bard of Rage.

Naw I don't like Raging, I just want to help people the best I can, and because I suck at video observing and editing of stuff the best way I know how is to give people support and say you guys are awesome. :geek:

Oh lol my bad. Sorry. My monster topic falling apart was partly due to my raging so didn't know if that was a reference to me. :|

There's a character in Homestuck called the Bard of Rage (he has a real name, but that's not important) who winds up going crazy and killing half the cast. (Most of them get better.)

[Rerail] Word games are more of my thing than photo or video manipulation. I initially un-lurked myself when the cat started riddle time, and if someone starts something like that again, I can help with that, but most of these puzzles are beyond me.

I doubt the whole batshit insanity thing is inherent to all Bards of Rage, just Gamzee himself. Sure, the class and affiliation probably weren't too helpful, but I'm pretty sure most of the problem was due to other sources, such as his blood apparently being made out of liquid Chaotic Evil.

Wait, hold on, why am we rambling about Homestuck? This isn't the webcomics thread! (Although it's certainly nice to find another fan. :D)

Major derailment. But amusing derailment.

Seriously, though. I'm flattered that Sicon wants to work with me, but at least until next Friday I'll function in the GMT+3 timezone. That's nasty, I have to choose between staying on the edge and having a decent sleep. (Sadistic Choice, TV Tropes, well played.) I'm afraid I won't be there until someone has already solved the problem. Not to mention I'm less of a "sound guy" and more of a "guy who bothered to download the sound tools". =/
And, well, I tend to snap when I can't keep up, as It was with the cipher and that goddamn chessmaster. :(

By the way, If the guy who bothered to re-watch the EC seasons finales is the guy most well-versed in the EC canon, we're screwed. :?

It's a pity that I'm effectively all out of free time. I can follow, but I don't think I'll be of much help. Compared to the specialisms of the rest of you, I'm more of a Jack Of All Trades. The only thing I'm outright bad at is decryption.

Well, I could try to watch the episodes to get some background and help out, but that'll probably take a few days... And I'm not exactly the best at taking notes, so even if I do that it's not like I'll get a lot of insight.
I do have a lot of "free" time for now, though. Just cut some time from my League of Legends :geek: and Touhou :ugeek: and I'm golden to watch EC.

I enjoy checking & re-checking blogs and threads and twitter feeds. The whole kitten kaboodle, I love it! I love (LOVE) interacting with fictional characters (the ARG type and the "crossed the 4th wall" type). It gives me something to do and more importantly, I look forward to that little surprise update that advances the story or presents a new puzzle. This is my escapism, the more there is to do and catch up on the better. The more convoluted the plot gets the more I redefine what playing these games mean as a player and also on the Meta level. I could go on-and-on about how I love the information overload and getting caught up, looking with a fine tooth comb for clues that ultimately end up being red herrings. And the interaction with the characters!
I'll stop now.

I've watched the entirety of EC, but I don't remember the details very well, aside from Mind Screw. And the episode immediately before it, because I was wondering if there was something in the conversation between Mr.Walnau and Mr.A (there wasn't, as far as I could tell).
