First, from what I've seen, it will debut on Android. iOS will come later.
Second, from the support page I got an idea that it will be more of a local war, because only the neighboring portals can be linked (which is used to conquer the territories, and, consequently, the people's minds ). But the world-spanning Metaguard collaboration sure sounds epic.

What I want, more than anything, is for the ARG to be acknowlegded by XKCD. Just for lols.

How about we get Randall to acknowledge it right as it's ending, on the 21st? I'm, uh, sure we could pull that off. And it would avoid the onslaught-of-visitors-of-doom. And it would be EPIC.

About that, is it actually ENDING on the 21st completely? Just that strikes me as a really STRANGE time to end it - right before one of the biggest holidays in the world. I know they aren't expecting it to continue very long AFTERt that but... I dunno, the 21st just seems like an odd time for me for some reason.

Also it'd be nice for the game to still be in play when that THING we're doing, Qara (wink wink) is on

You know, I wasn't too clear on that, either? I mean, it would be nice for the game to continue at least a little longer than that, just to tie up loose ends, denouement, say goodbye to people like Brad and Joan and A who are still around, and... also because of that THING.

I thought I've said that already: Ingress is supposed to encourage local alliances. The global ones should be more like huge clans, or something. Which is badass too.
