About super-secret plans in the chatroom

It is becoming increasingly popular to invoke the Unspoken Plan Guarantee and discuss the plans in the chatroom, preferably in a private conversation.

Guys.
Stahp.

The primary purpose of stuff like this is to outsmart either the Cabal (and, meta-wise, it's useless) or the GMs, as it was with our Quixote's twitter plan. Everything else is just misuse.

Think of the children!
The forums are the archives our descendants will use to research the course of the ARG. Everything should be here if possible. Thank you.

Sorry, Dryu.
(As you'll see from my R&J plan last night, I've already been taking "secret" plans to the forums, so... with elephants.)

Dryu is right, everyone. Dryu is always right. Except when he's being mindcontrolled by evil google.

Thanks, Dryu. I was starting to feel like I never had any idea what was going on.

Good point. We use the forums ourselves to catch up. So... keep it here, m'kay?

Whoever is in on the secret plans: Post them on the forums. We can't hide stuff from the GMs or they won't be able to react adequately.

Failing that, I have a hand I can play. There is a temporary 1 hour ban option that I can use to break the planning sessions if things get out of control.

I do not like that idea and do not want to use it.

But if things get out of control, and general opinion is that it is being harmful to us, then I will issue such bans.

I'm down wih that, honestly keeping track of things is hard enough without it all gointg on where most of the members can't SEE it.

Of course sometimes I think we just get carried away disucssing things. We want to talk about stuff RIGHT NOW and don't want to waste time running over to the forum when there are ten different people to see what we're saying directly in front of us. So it's easy to get carried away but I agree that we're being MUCH too

Outsmarting the Cabal is one thing, but we really need to ALL be able to discuss this stuff where it can be seen. If that invovles breaking out the Willing Suspension of Disbelief, I say we do it because it's frankly impossible to AVOID the cabal seeing everything we say.

Yes. Yes he is. I'm sure we can come up with protocols for thast scenario.
