Rise of the Guardians or Wreck it Ralph

Postby The Wild West Pyro on Sun Nov 25, 2012 9:33 am

This year brought us two awesome animated films:

Dreamwork's Rise of the Guardians and Disney/Pixar's Wreck it Ralph

They are both awesome. Rise of the Guardians brings back your favourite childhood heroes and turns them into badasses, and Wreck it Ralph is an brilliant tribute to video gaming, with cameos from your favourite heroes and villains, like Sonic and Bowser.

Personally, I'd go for Wreck it Ralph, because, although Rise of the Guardians is a really brilliant movie, Wreck it Ralph is more fun, and I love any movie that has Shout Outs.

But what do you guys think? Which one would you choose if you had to watch?

Tell me your opinions!

PS: Can everyone try to post on here, so I know which one everyone likes?

They still haven't debuted in my country. Could you try to not spoil anything here?
Dolphins are some of the smartest animals, yes, but by human standards… Let's say you should praise the god that forces them to stay handless and underwater.

I saw WIR, and if my studying permits, I'll run off to town and catch RotG. :D
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

Nice plan!

Although I did a survey at school- Rise of the Guardians is very popular with the girls because of the Tooth Fairy, and they have Bunnymund and Jack to swoon over. Yes, Jack. He's the reason why this movie was so successful- and sent teenage girls across the world gasping. And FairyFrost pairings on fanfiction seem to be popular.

The boys, on the other hand, like Wreck it Ralph. Due to the gaming shout outs.

I saw both, and I prefer Rise of the Guardians. Honestly, I just believe it has the stronger story and more entertaining characters. Wreck It Ralph was great too, but I feel like most of the references were lost on me, as I'm not that much of a gamer. Rise of the Guardians seems to have a wider appeal due to featuring more universally recognized characters and themes that we can all identify with.
If everyone would just agree with me, there would never be any problems.

It does. And another reason why it was so successful is that people suddenly started believing in Santa, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, The Sandman and even Jack again, after seeing the movie. As well as that, girls LOVED Jack Frost.

After today I've seen both of them. They're both very good, but I think I liked Wreck-It Ralph more. The Fridge Brilliance to Fridge Logic ratio was higher for WIR, in my opinion. But they're definitely both worth seeing.

ROTG is about to come out here and WIR doesn't come til Boxing Day (Dec 26).

So I'm not sure on either. But I'm definitely gonna love Wreck It Ralph. It's all my gaming dreams come true.

You need to go see Wreck-it Ralph.

I've seen it, and it is currently my favorite Disney movie.

I have seen Rise of the Guardians, and it's really good. I'm still waiting on seeing Wreck-It Ralph, though.

Well I'm oblidged to say Wreck It Ralph (I met one of the voice actors at a Con receetly and he was the most awesome person in the history of forever :D) primarily due to the fact that it's Pixar and Pixar oh so rarely steers me wrong (although I hear Brave dissapointed some, which is kind of annoying). But I do quite like the look of Rise of the Guardians. I'd have to say I'm stuck to choose between them.

Wreck-It Ralph isn't actually Pixar. It's Disney's animation division doing computer animation without Pixar.

Must. Find. A day. To watch. Those movies.
Damnit school. The only bright side of not watching these movies in, well, the movies is that I can watch in English through the internet. Does anyone know a site? I think I might have one, but having more than necessary never hurts.

You may watch Wreck it Ralph on the Internet, but....

DO NOT WATCH RISE OF THE GUARDIANS ONLINE! DREAMWORKS IS LOSING MONEY BECAUSE TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE WATCHING ONE OF THEIR BEST MOVIES ONLINE! THE POOR THING IS IN THE DREAMWORKS HALL OF SHAME WITH FLUSHED AWAY.

( Waves his arms around. Makes the online viewers look at the currently impoverished North, Sandman, Bunnymund and even Pitch.)

Me ( to Fangirls and Viewers looking shocked, shameful, sheepish and horrified.): LOOK OVER THERE.

( Everyone turns and gasps. The Shippers cry out in pity.)

Me: LOOK AT JACK AND TOOTH! HOW IS TOOTH SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF HER AND JACK'S BABY IF THEY'RE POOR!

Extremely Die Hard Jack Fangirl: WELL, TOOTH DESERVED IT ANYWAY!

Me: SHUT UP!

( Knocks her away with TF2 Shotgun blast.)

( Everyone else leaves money in all the Guardian's cups, even Pitch's.)

Jack: Thanks guys.

Tooth: We can buy food now! Hooray!

Jack: Thank you so much, guys- I was thinking, one day Noell's going to grow up without a Father...

( He glances at Tooth and wipes a few tears away)

Jack:.... Or Mother.

Bunnymund: ( Chuckles)

Bunnymund: Well, mate, maybe you shouldn't have married her....

Jack: Shut up.....

Bunnymund:  THEN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE SLEPT WITH HER ON THE WEDDING NIGHT!

Jack: SHUT UP!!!

Bunnymund: I HAVE THE PHOTOS!

( He throws them onto the table.)

North: Bunnymund...this...this is AGAINST THE LAWS OF THE GUARDIANS!

Tooth: BLACKMAIL!

Jack: YOU SONOFA- AAAAARGH!

( Jack very bloodily beats up Bunnymund while Tooth distracts the Baby)

Bunny: I'M SORRY MATE! OI! GIVE ME BACK MY LEG BONE! NO! DON'T BEAT ME WITH IT!

( Cupid appears, and combs his blonde curls back, adjusts his white tunic, and aims his Tranquilizer Gun at Bunnymund. The Grim Reaper flicks his dark emo hair away from his face and raises his Scythe. Lady Justice puts her scales away and gets out her Sword.)

Bunnymund: OH CRAP-

( Nasty muffled screams as the Bunnymund fangirls run to help and attack.)

Me: Oh dear.

( Calls Ralph and Felix)

There should be a T Shirt saying:

I HELPED THE GUARDIANS

by not watching the movie online.

( Jack is held back by Ralph while Felix and the Fangirls drag a very bloodied, cut, beaten and tranquilized bunny away.)

Jack: LET GO OF ME SO I CAN GET AT THAT-

Ralph: Sorry, but NO. And Vanellope-

Vanellope: Yes?

Ralph: GET OUT OF HERE NOW!

Vanellope: Nuh uh, Stinky Brain.

( She tries to see the photos Ralph is punching to bits.)

Vanellope: Mister, what are they doing? Why is one guy n-

( Ralph blindfolds her and pushes her cart down the mountain path.)

Me: Oh and-

( Drops wads of cash into each of the Guardians' cups.)

There you go.

( He leaves. Jack sneaks behind him and showers him with four leaf clovers, making sure he has good luck.)
