Well, that does it. I'm getting Minecraft now, no matter how much of a time sink it is. Just wait till we SOMEHOW manage to recreate the Coffee Room....

I actually thought of making the server yesterday. It would be fun, but absolutely unproductive. If we procrastinate in Minecraft while the world will burn, I'll never forgive you.
(What the hell, I'll try to make one. IIRC, it should work out of the box now.)

UPD: I started one. Seems to be accessible from the outside, so PM me if you need the address. And please don't post it in the open (including the main chatroom), because it has absolutely zero security.
Also, I have no idea how many players my PC can handle.

UPD: I've set up an actual server instead of using the "Open to LAN" feature. Now it doesn't fall when I log off. I've already set up a Meta-bunker, so come visit me. Position: X=-179, Y=64, Z=177.

Also, the location couldn't be funnier, as there are 2 colliding biomes, and a chasm with lava in the backyard.

For the record, the world seed was "The Wall Will Fall".

One more thing: If you didn't buy Minecraft, go ahead and use a pirated one. Notch officially doesn't mind.

Actually I just want an official Minecraft so I can get in an official server and use a skin. But I've been playing Minecraft since March I guess.

Oh, by the way, anyone know a good flat texture pack? I'm looking for something even lighter than the default. Shamelessly scrapping for every bit of FPS I can here. xD

The Nether is kinda easy to get to, really.

Also, my house is the tower-esque thing by the spawn's alpine biome. It will grow into a giant web in the sky, but in the meantime can I ask for you guys to avoid clearing the trees near it? I'd like to have a decent supply of trees to work from so that I can get my self-sufficiency going.

Protip: sapling + bonemeal (made from bones) = brand new tree.

Thanks! Although it was luck by my part. Dryu was closer to the lava than I was, but since I render on far, I saw a village and almost burnt in the lava when I was going there.

If everyone agrees, we could... Uh... Forgot the word, damnit. We could set it for a day and hour, so we can start a new server from scratch and do a bunch of stuff the fastest way possible, and also the hardest (that is, Hard difficulty, nomadism, lots of lag...) But keeping this server, even if only 'saved'

This whole day when I try to run Minecraft it says that it could not create the Java Virtual Machine; Anyone knows anything could help me?

The freaking transaction won't go through. Screw this. I tried the legal way and I'm fed up with this Verified By Visa crap. Dryu, where do I get a download?
