'Tis, indeed! Irish first name, Welsh surname. All Celt, all the time! :D

Funnily one of my odler family names is Kendall, Kendall being an early viking settlement. I see your celtic and add Norse to the mix :D (okay so it's hiiighly unlikely I have Viking ancestry, but a girl can dream.)

In your past life, you were this badass Viking princess.

You know what you get when you add Norse to a celt? A celt. :gurt: They're descended from Norsemen. :P

How about if you add a celt to a Norse?

I'm not sure how the Norse view it, but from my perspective, you'd just end up with a Norseman.

OK....so...

Norse+Celt= Celt

Celt+Norse= Norse

Celt+Celt= Celt

Norse+Norse= Norse

See I only sort of rationally knew that in some distant corner of my brain, until a few years ago I always believed the celtic were just the ancient Native britons and had nothing to do with Norway except possibly a bit of mixing up whenever they came voer to raid us. My logic fu fails when it comes to my own hereditary.

Of course the place where I live was also founded by people RUNNING AWAY from Vikings... carrying a coffin... and chasing a cow. Uh... that's a bit confusing if I think about it too much.
They sometimes say, "the place where I am right now was circled on a map for me"... Unfortunately, I kind of suck at orienteering.

To be fair, the Celts originally came from central Europe, not the Norse lands, but there was so much intermingling because of the raids that the culture is kind of a hodge-podge of the two, and all Celts have at least some Norse in them now (and have for centuries).

I was in Geaography class today, when my teacher was writing down a final summary for Asia. It reminded me of Agora and Pyro, and I remembered Pyro's name was Nicholas. It reminded me that at my old school, my best friend was name Nicolas too. Then, I remembered that my name was supposed to be Nicolas, but my mother changed her mind after I was born, because I had some complications, or something like that.
Also, after some time I remembered about the father of boy that I met while traveling with my family. He was asian (or at least of asian ascendency) and his name was "Nicolaus" (a variations of "Nicolas", the same variation as the one in "Santa Claus' true name" here in Brazil).

Um...I think it was running away from vikings or grabbing weapons and defending.

Well some of them sure but these guys were monks, y'see, so drawing swords wasn't really in their Modus Operandi. Also, they didn't want the body of a deceased saint to get damaged in any raidings, running for it probably seemed like the safest option at the time.

Or, if you happen to be a monk, defend with staffs if you're brave or, do what most people would do and barricade yourselves up in the church and pray.

Anthony Alan Goodman is my real name.

When I publish my book I hope to have a pen name under the guise of Halubaris Maphotika.
