'Tis, indeed! Irish first name, Welsh surname. All Celt, all the time!
Funnily one of my odler family names is Kendall, Kendall being an early viking settlement. I see your celtic and add Norse to the mix(okay so it's hiiighly unlikely I have Viking ancestry, but a girl can dream.)

They're descended from Norsemen. The Wild West Pyro wrote:How about if you add a celt to a Norse?

I'm not sure how the Norse view it, but from my perspective, you'd just end up with a Norseman.

It reminded me that at my old school, my best friend was name Nicolas too. Then, I remembered that my name was supposed to be Nicolas, but my mother changed her mind after I was born, because I had some complications, or something like that.
Also, after some time I remembered about the father of boy that I met while traveling with my family. He was asian (or at least of asian ascendency) and his name was "Nicolaus" (a variations of "Nicolas", the same variation as the one in "Santa Claus' true name" here in Brazil).

Well some of them sure but these guys were monks, y'see, so drawing swords wasn't really in their Modus Operandi. Also, they didn't want the body of a deceased saint to get damaged in any raidings, running for it probably seemed like the safest option at the time.
