The chatroom stays as is, bookmark that and we keep that palce forever. :D

And lastly, I had a few ideas we could explore to make our own fan-continuity, like hosting or own "Wall Emergency of the Month", for instance. We don't need to split up, and about setting up our own forum, just tell me I should do it and I can get it up.

Um, so, I’m tired, and lacking sleep, and this is possibly an unwise thing to do, but...

At the risk of being unbelievably corny and sappy, I just wanted to say thanks, to the lot of you. I’m not sure if I ever said it before. It seemed silly to create another thread for it since we HAVE a thread where we post stuff right here. I can’t speech like Xana so I’ll just steal from the greats again: if any moment is important, it’s this one. If any moment is sacred, it’s this one. We’re here, we’re together, reality’s quite possibly about to end, but we’re doing our best not to let it. We started this as a tram, and that’s how we’ll finish it.

I just think that’s sort of great. The fate of the world in the hands of storytellers. I never figured it would ever end up that way.

I mean, we owe Joe a lot for bringing us together and with only nineteen days left to go until SOMETHING happens? I figure now’s as good a time as any to say it. It’s been a pleasure knowing you all, and a joy working with you. Every last one of you. No regrets, okay?

Um... yeah, so let’s get back to saving the world, shall we?

...Or maybe later. I think I need to go try and sleep now.

As am I

It's gonna be kind of crazy trying to reorganize ALL of this into some kind of readab;e form for those who weren't there at the time, but entirely possible. The last and only RP type scenario I was in, we had to create a timeline of events to...

Oh wait, we have one of thise already. :)

Well, can we keep the Off Topic open, or will that close too? Because other than that, I agree with everything.

Looks like the idea of opening another board if this one gets closed is quite popular. So, I'll not do it now. First I'll wait for the After-ARG talk to know exactly what are the plans for this place. If it indeed get's locked up, I'll open the fan-forum.

Just a quick thing, what should we call it? The Wall Didn't Fall? Wall Repair Service? :P

I like the latter name, and I'd like to add Metaguard Central as a suggestion.

Hey sounds good to me.

How about an Alternate Reality game of the Alternate Reality Game? The wall falls, and we spend our days fighting off threats to reality from fiction until they ultimately overwhelm us all? :D

My idea is for us to write our own set of Guardians, then every month we vote up one baddie to try to cross and write stories averting it.

Of course, we'll have an RP sub-forum to keep our current ones running and open up for more people to play and GM if they wish. And if we do take the Tram to the Google ARG, we'll keep our Ingress Headquarters in there too.

There is a lot we can do, and maybe the GMs can even drop by as players this time :hinthint: to join in on the free form Fan ARG.

Does anyone remember my suggestion from a while ago? I talked about it on the chat a little, but I don't know if anyone really remembers.

First, go look up the Protectors of the Plot Continuum. Read a mission or two, and come back. Here's the link to the Original Series: http://plotprotectors.tripod.com/TOS/ Read a couple, then come back. This'll make more sense then.

That is what my suggestion was, more-or-less. If a group of people want to write about a character coming through into our world, then they create a "Briefing" on them, writing up communications, logs, whatever media they choose to use in order to tell the story. The underlying meta-plot would be that they wall was fixed well, and while it won't fall, occasionally people/things will fall through, and the Metaguards (the loose organization consisting of us, and possibly picking up others who run into the fictionals, like Brad) would have to find them, and refic them. This is complicated by finding the fictionals, grabbing echoes, and convincing them to go back, in addition to the more mundane concerns of keeping them out of trouble/keeping track of them. The players writing the story would create the media (which could be anything from a simple story to fake Twitter/Facebook logs, to voice records, whatever the writers want to do) telling the story of the character, the metaguards keeping who are on the character's "case", and eventually the final piece would be the character's refic.

These would slowly be collected, written, and would end up as a shared world of our own. Which isn't to say that Pixel's idea doesn't work, because it's totally something that could be done alongside this. Possibly with cross-overs (Metaguards going into the wall somehow, for some reason, or the Metaguardians coming here somehow, for some reason).

Laconic: Someone writes a character plotline. (I. E. I run Don Quixote's twitter and plotline) For the others to interact with. Open to whoever wants to actually run a character.

Well. I'm talking to Krika in the chat room about it and it is a bit more complicated than that, but that's the general idea. But I'm sure it can fit along with the fan-forum. It's just a matter of us being interested in trying it out.

To clarify further: What I am thinking about ending up with is like what we would have if we decided to make a folder containing all of the interactions/records we had of Morgan, and write one of those. Don't play them out, just write them as if we did.

The point is to create (preferably multi-media) stories set in the TWWF-verse, that tell the stories of fictionals stranded in this world. It will allow for stories and such that give us a wider range of interactivity with a fictional character (such as, say, meeting them) than an ARG would allow us.

Just some stuff copied from the chat that may help clarify further.

And now, the end is here
And so we face the wall collapsing
My friends we're write those fics,
I'll make the point, at which I’m grasping
We’ve played a game that’s wild
we’ve looked at every trope and plot twist
And more, much more than this, we did it our way

That last bit doesn’t rhyme. I don’t care. Frank Sinatra, baby. 8-)

Re: this. Honestly, we could continue to work with the persona's we HAVE here, make more of an unofficial sequel, in a sense. After all the players make up the game as much as the GMs do, right?

I really like the idea of continuing to have incursions from beyond the wall, seeping through cracks and having to be dealt with by the Metaguards in whatever way we can. There's also the potential to keep it multimedia based, much as the ARG itself was, but it'd be easier to handle as we wouldn't have to go interacting with obscure places in the real world all the time (which is a great touch of multimedia gameplay, but also tricky to do).

So...I guess we did it.

Okay screw it. I know we’ve had enough walls of text to last us forever, but I wanted this one. See, I wanted to talk about something...

A part of me feels like even though the ARG itself is ending? Something else is probably just getting started. I mean, when you get down to it... WE did this. It's been a lot of fun... occasionally frustrating, occasionally terrifying, but fun... the ARG is ending, but like I said: we're just starting.

Let’s face it, guys; we’ve known each other... what, three months? What do we REALLY know about each other? I’m quite looking forward to getting to know you guys outside of a life or death scenario, as creators as well as Metaguards.

Anybody who wants to leave? Totally fine, it’s been wonderful sharing a seat on the Tram with you, and I really hope you all find what you’re looking for out there, but I think that one of the main points of this ARG, apart from writing, was to encourage collaboration, to achieve things and tell stories as a group that we couldn't do alone. The TRAM started as a joke typo, but it’s a good description in more ways than one. A Tram is a bunch of carts carrying a lot of people who may not all be going to the same place or leaving at the same stop... but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t enjoy the journey together.

And who knows, maybe we’ll start a new one going in similar directions. The GMs and the game brought us together, now the hard part is up to us. It’d be nice, I think, to go out there and do more.

I don’t know if the TRAM is what the GMs expected, but I’m glad it’s what we got. Hell, maybe in twenty years, we’ll have our own ARG and there’ll be a new bunch of people from all over the world, much like the Metaguards. And we can watch them save the world, and smile, and remember what it was like

...And then we can start yelling BONSUS at one another via chat, or transmitting holographic limes.

The future is what you make of it :)
