Quick question, while we're all still around: Where to next?
Apparently, slightly less weird than most of you.

No place yet. Keep an eye out on the chatroom.

As I have stated a few times (mostly in the chatroom, so... =P), I'll only get a new forum up on zetaboards if no one else can make a better one and this one gets locked, after all, maybe the GMs themselves have plans for the future and I don't want to clash interests, so we'll wait to see how that goes. That means we'll only have a place after it is officially over, probably after christmas or new years. Which means, I won't be able to post a new link here.

In that case I will, of course, ask help from the GMs to say, make one last Mr. A tweet linking to the fan-forum. I imagine they'll be ok with doing that for us. Right? ;)

But for the moment: All metaguards! Make note of the chatroom! It'll be our immediate line of communication. Or my twitter or something of the sort. But rest assured we'll get that information out to the metaguards somehow.

Will a zetaboard forum allow us to design and alter the background and style of the forum, a bit> To make it more... you know, Metaguardy?

As we are currently working on a couple of things (the christmas carol for example) at the moment, I do hope that we aren't going to lose access to at least the off topic section for a couple of weeks, we're organizing the auditions through here...

I believe it's possible to customize appearance to a degree. I don't know how much we're allowed to divert from the defaults, but bare minimum I believe that color schemes and banners are possible to tweak.

I'll try to be Laconic.
We need a name for the fan forum.
I want to start playing with the tools soon to get a feel for them before we have to move for real so that I have a time buffer to deal with any difficulties that may arise.

But again, that means we need to settle upon a name so that I can actually register it to begin with, there have been some ideas. Perhaps the most popular so far being "The Wall Won't Fall" that would keep the same acronym, but the formatting of "Won't" can't be kept so that's an issue.

I tried to bring this up on the chatroom but as expected, insanity and randomness reign supreme in there. So... Help? xD
I could try to decide it on my own, but I assume that at least some consensus would be helpful. It's been how we've come this far, no need to change it now. ^^

I stil say the word 'metaguards' has to be in there somewhere but alas that's all I can contribute right now :(

How about The Wall Was Fine?

The Wall Watched Footage? (wait... that made more sense in my head... um....)

They Will Watch Footage?

Does it need to have the initials TWWF?

Why not Metaguard HQ?

It does not need to be with the TWWF acronym. But it's one of the bases.

Metaguard HQ sounds good to me. It's simple and descriptive enough that anyone can understand, and still tied to our story. We are metaguards after all. ^_^

Metaveterans is intimidating, makes you think that only the old guard is allowed inside, Metatram is nice, but it's an inside joke, somehow I think that making a meme into our title is not a good idea.

Of the TWWF ones, "The Wall Was Fine" particularly looks like a nice continuity nod. If a bit misleading. xD

Well, it's like what Scarab said: The meme started as a bonsus but it seemed to fit. People hop on, people hop off and the tram just keeps on going. And even if the name doesn't make sense either way, it still has a nice ring to it

To that, the "Didn't" can't keep that formatting because of the ' symbol. Wouldn't work.

It would seem Metatram is actually winning :o , though I still think that apart from being funny it's not a really good name...
Well, more people to manifest themselves?

Can we change its name after we've set it?
EDIT: How about we create a poll for this as well? Is anyone here able to do so (except for Joe and Ed)?

I can think of some possible exploits that might allow it.
For one, I'm not registering a domain now, so if later on we actually do get a domain name (metaplace.com for instance), then it can be anything... And I would hope that the actual title on screen (where we have the "Watch the Footage" here in our forum) is editable to any set string. But the "zeta[...]/metaplace" is not at all likely to be changeable.

So, even if we manage to cheat out of the name somehow in the far future, for the moment we'd be stuck with whatever we pick now. Naming a server is serious business. :ugeek:

Meh, maybe I should actually make a throwaway sandbox for real to actually measure those limitations. Let's keep trying to come up with a good name though. :D

How about just "The White Void"? Or "A bright white light in a neverending void"?
I mean, it's what we started with. Maybe it would be apropos if it's what we end with, as well. And it would make a pretty hardcore webaddress, even if we change the header on the page later, to something more specific.

We might like to indicate which wall, lest homeowners come seeking our aid with things outside of our area of expertise.
